My experience in the Business of Water
I have 30 years of sales, installation, operation and service experience in all phases of Water Pumps, Motors & Electrical Systems in the Water Well Industry here in the Central Valley.
In my early years I worked at one of the oldest local machine shops (portions of which are on display at Haggins Museum, Stockton) where I learned the removal/installation and repair of Centrifugal & Turbine Pumps and Electrical Services.
When that shop was moved closer to the Delta I was soon managing what we called the Pump Dept. My focus was on the service & repair of high capacity agricultural drainage and irrigation water systems. I had the pleasure of working for many Reclamation Districts and Valley Farming Communities, as well as some Residential, Commercial and Industrial customers with various service & repair needs.
I gained through the years valued experience during the drought and flood conditions of our Central Valley and have a complete understanding, or education if I may, of the pendulum of needs of emergency Turbine water system extention/redesign, well repair/replacement, as well as managing and working in flood relief service to our farming community in the local Valley and Delta regions.
As water conservation & technology changed the irrigation industry I sold, installed and serviced high pressure deep well turbine and then "new" submersible turbine pumps from 5hp to 300hp to Family & Corporation Farms, and as land turned into housing, into Municipal Market with pump system furnish and install contracts. I also continued on the same path in Engineered reconstruction of Pumping Plant Stations in the Delta.
When the contract business got tight in the late 90's, and after a short time working as a Sales Engineer for Peerless Pump Co., I left the Water Well Industry and got into the Spa Industry.
It was kind of like jumping from one hot tub of water to another,
but soon to find,
"the water is still fine".
I have been selling and servicing Spa and Hot Tubs since 2000.
I sold Sundance Spas in Stockton/Modesto for the largest Central Valley Sundance Dealer.
Once the Dealership expanded and service became a top priority I moved into the Service Dept as a technician, Certified under Sundance Spas Warranty Service since 2001 thru 2007.
In 2002 I became Service Manager. A third location was opened with a wearhouse and Service Shop in Tracy and we were soon serving 5 counties here in the California Central Valley and foothill regions. Since then I have trained tech's and managed service for over 1200 accounts a year. I expanded the warranty service opportunity to other manufacturers of spas and gained experience in non-warranty hot tub service and repairs for all types and years of Tubs, some dating back to the industries modest beginnings.
I was lucky to have started with Sundance Spas as I have grown to respect them as a leader in the industry. They provide superior products, service and parts availability to thier dealer base unmatched by many of the others. I enjoy my Sundance Marin on a daily basis and highly recommomend the same to all my customers.
In late 2006, like many, we were forced to downsize and by early 2007 the failing real estate market drove the hot tub business to a screeching halt. By July I was the last of 12 to be laid off due to lack of new sales and the Dealer I worked for, soon after, was forced to close.
In August 2007 I opened Performance Spa Service and Repair as a sole proprietor.
